The Choice is Clear Invisalign is the Attractive Alternative

Invisalign's clear aligners have transformed the world of orthodontics by substituting transparent plastic trays for metal braces to create a beautiful smile.

The clear aligners gently shift your teeth into the correct alignment, straightening them to create a photo-worthy smile.

Virtually Invisible

Each custom-made tray is constructed of clear plastic that hugs your teeth, making it nearly invisible. Most people won't realize you are undergoing orthodontic treatment to correct misalignment unless you tell them.

Comfortable

Aligners are made of smooth plastic and custom-molded for you. With no metal wires or brackets to irritate your mouth, Invisalign aligners make the process of straightening your teeth both simple and more comfortable.

Removable

Removable aligners make your daily cleaning ritual as easy as picking up a toothbrush and floss. In contrast, cleaning around traditional braces is difficult and time-consuming, which can increase the chance of decay.

"Invisible Braces"  How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign is an elegantly simple orthodontics treatment to straighten a crooked smile. Instead of relying on the uncomfortable wires and brackets used with traditional braces, Invisalign uses discreet, clear aligners that, bit by bit, gradually correct your smile.

Every two weeks or so you insert a new tray that corrects your misalignment just a bit more. By the last set of aligners, your mouth will be in a more symmetrical alignment and you will be sharing a more beautiful, confident smile.

Every patient's needs differ based on how much correction is needed, but treatment generally lasts 12 to 18 months.

What Problems does Invisalign Correct? Examples of Cases Successfully Treated

Invisalign is an accepted orthodontics treatment for a variety of dental problems. However, if you have severe misalignment problems, you may need to rely on traditional orthodontic treatments, such as braces.

The majority of our patients happily discover that Invisalign is ideal for treating their dentistry problems, which include:

Overbite

This occurs when the upper and lower dental arches are not aligned and the upper arch extends beyond the lower one

Underbite

An underbite is the reverse of the overbite and occurs when the lower teeth extend out beyond the upper.

Open Bite

An open bite occurs when the top teeth do not come in contact with the bottom row when the mouth is closed.

Crossbite

There are different forms of crossbite, but in general, it occurs when the upper and lower teeth are horizontally out of alignment. Some are closer to the cheek or tongue than the corresponding teeth on the opposite side of the mouth.

Gapped

Teeth with excessive space between them are called "gapped" teeth. The gap can affect the aesthetics of a smile and provide a place for bacteria to collect.

Crowding

Overcrowding can cause teeth to overlap. They are often difficult to clean, making them more susceptible to decay.

The Simple Steps to a More Beautiful Smile The Invisalign Timeline

Invisalign is a popular treatment and is well suited for many of the people looking to improve their smile. One of the most important criteria is being responsible. Good candidates must be dedicated to wearing the aligners from 20 to 22 hours a day. Aligners should be removed only when eating and to brush and floss.
Invisalign easily adapts to your lifestyle. Unlike traditional braces, aligner trays can be removed so you can eat what you like and clean your teeth quickly and easily.

Consultation

The dentist will first determine if you are a good candidate for the Invisalign orthodontic treatment. If you are, x-rays and a sophisticated scan of your teeth will be taken to create a 3-D image. Using the scan, the dentist will map out a treatment to correct the misalignments. He can even give you a sneak peek at your future, more beautiful, smile.

Fabrication

Using the scanned image, technicians will create a series of clear aligners that will gradually move your teeth into the correct position. The trays, which take between two to four weeks to create, are made of clear plastic and custom-crafted, making them nearly invisible.

Your First Aligners

At your next visit, you will receive your first set of aligners. The dentist will ensure they fit correctly and will talk about the proper use and care of your aligners to ensure a successful treatment. You will be instructed to wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours every day and remove them only for eating and cleaning. Treatment plans vary, but typically you wear a set of aligners for two weeks and then switch to the next set in your treatment plan.

Check-Ups

Patients typically return about every six weeks for a check-up so the dentist can monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan. Treatment generally lasts between 12 and 18 months. More difficult cases generally take longer.

Final Results

After your treatment is complete, we recommend wearing your final mouthpiece as a retainer while you sleep. This will help maintain your new smile.
